Lower Threshold Power vs fitness signature

I am trying to understand how Xert decides the Lower Threshold Power.

After playing a bit with the numbers it looks like LTP = TP - HIE / t where t = 400 seconds and HIE is in J (and not kJ).

Is this correct and what is the reasoning behind this?

Or
LTP = TP - 2.5 x HIE

I recently started using Xert and found that I have questions about my lower power threshold (LTP) and its relationship to my fitness gear. I noticed that my LTP is slightly different than my Functional Threshold Power (FTP) and I wondered how that might affect my workouts. I understand that my LTP is determined by my fitness and is individual to each athlete, but I still don’t really understand how it relates to my fitness signature. Can someone explain how LTP relates to fitness signature and how I can use this knowledge to improve my training program? Any help or advice would be appreciated!

There are a number of forum posts discussing LTP. If you carry put a search you can find out loads more. Here’s one…

How LTP relates to your fitness signature is shown in my original posting. This means that it can be improved by increasing TP or reducing HIE.
