How do I compare required power of different weight riders for a course?

I have heard it in podcasts and read it on pages, but i cannot find the actual feature where I can load a course file (FIT or TCX) and compare what riders of different weights would have to exert power wise to match course times.

Change Program, Race, Analyze a Power File.
If you have more than one FIT file for the event you can compare different riders’ results based on their finish times and strain profile.
Xert will predict the TL and Signature changes required to complete the event at the calculated Event Readiness level.

Thank you. I import the FIT file and it comes in, I tell it my weight versus the compared rider, and I am hoping to see a power requirement for ME versus them. But I can’t see that (or recognise it on the messy chart), rather I see a training assessment of whether I can achieve their ride. I don’t want to know about training, I want to see a power requirement assessment. Starting to think Xert is too convoluted as I had heard.

There’s no comparison… Xert just gives you the power you’d need to push to ride equally with the original rider’s .fit file. And we run the MPA analysis on your power to determine if the ride is achievable or not.

Thanks for the reply. Getting the power I’d need to to the same ride is a comparison between two riders (in my mind anyway), I just for the life of me cannot find that value (the power for me) when I look at the race analysis.

In the initial Race AI page, Xert allows you to modify some parameters (max difficulty, max carbs/hr, etc.) and then shows whether that race/activity is achievable or estimates the training required to achieve an equivalent performance, if it’s achievable.

To view the power data you’d need to do based on the difference between the original rider’s weight, power, your weight, and the gradient, click on the ‘Show Details’ button above the MPA chart on the Race Analysis page.

From there, you’ll be able to hover over the Power/MPA data and click/drag to zoom in just like the activity details page. You can also change the power averaging, if you want or change the axis from distance to time.

Hope this helps!
