Super new user. Loving the platform as I learn more of the lingo. The videos and screenshots seem to be a little dated?
Anyways, I use the Xert app on an Android tablet and all works well except the heartrate is always really low. I see now that the heartrate is always half of what it should be. I have tried with the Garmin HRM-Pro-Plus and the Wahoo TICKR and both show 1/2 the actual heart rate.
I am fine with the 1/2 if it does not affect the fitness signature, suggested training, etc. I have gotten “Breakthrough” shown on the app while riding the trainer, but the Breakthrough will not “stick” if I save using my Garmin which shows the proper heart rate. I have a feeling that this may happen because the Garmin estimates my FTP a few watts higher than my TP in Xert. But I want to make sure it is not because of the HR issue. I would prefer to save the workout from the Xert EBC app, but the HR is way off.
I have disabled everything bluetooth in my house including the cell phone. I turned off my WIFI router and the microwave is unplugged. All that is connected is the tablet (the same behavior showed when I used my cell phone and the EBC app), HRM, and the Zwift Hub trainer. The trainer knows nothing about which HRM I am using.
Any insight would be appreciated.
