Harndess Test (smart trainer?)

I am just starting the xert program. I would like to incorporate hardness tests into my training. I was wondering should these test be performed in slope/ramp mode vs ERG?

I suspect Erg mode would be easier to follow given their changing power, although doing them in ramp mode would be doable and interesting. The targets would still adjust as you execute, whereby the power target would drop, for example, if you did the first part of the XSSR interval too hard. Should get you to the same hardness level / overall XSS if you did them this way.

Thanks for the quick response. I will try them both ways to see how it would vary. I believe it would end up the same as well.
