Ok, thanks. I enjoyed being outside so much I’ll just make sure to do smaller workouts that don’t require much faffing with settings on just the small outside flattish 2K loop. I’m using my phone for Xert EBC when on the trainer anyway.
But if I might just add another “Grr. Garmin!” (Grrmin?) to my previous “why are you so precious about my historical data” grr…
This can actually be detrimental - a workout I have exceeds the 50 step limit, so I split into two halves. I can’t push both of them over as the first is overwritten. Currently I have to push the first, duplicate and rename it, then push the second.
The workflow is not ideal. It is a shame, as the step limit is the root cause.
It’s either this or tape workout to my top tube and use the lap screen. So close yet so far.
Yes that’s an option, but does involve getting the phone out mid-ride and going through that journey - honestly it’s the last thing I want to go through when I’m out on the bike
In the end I used the lap button for the first half and loaded the workout ready for the second half.
