Garmin Magic Bucket data field crash

The Magic Bucket field is great, but it crashes 1-15 min into every ride and only shows “IQ!”. The data field connects and works normally until it crashes. Re-adding it fixes it for the rest of the ride. However, this means stopping mid-ride every time, which is a real annoyance.

This has been reported before, but it persists and has not been resolved.

Is this a Garmin bug or a bug in the Xert data field?

Tried without effect:

  • A profile with only this data screen (to rule out a memory issue)
  • Removing and reinstalling the data field (including restarting both the device and iPhone)

I also replied to your other post.
I know this won’t help at all but I have noticed x40 is a common trait for those having issues.
Have you removed all CIQ data fields from the 840 and only installed XMB?
Some 3rd party IQ apps/fields run in background regardless of what profile is in use.

Thx! I’ll test this.

And I’m well aware the the x40 and x50 seems to have quite a lot of IQ issues.
But, I think it needs to be established if this will need a Garmin fix or an Xert fix.
