Forecast AI planning fails

I achieved a breakthrough and adjusted my plan accordingly—as recommended by ridgerider2—since I’m now capable of doing more. However, Forecast AI is no longer generating a plan for me. I increased the wattage and updated my plan, but now a red dot appears next to “Adapt Forecast.” It isn’t scheduling anything for the weekend either, even though I indicated two hours of availability for both Saturday and Sunday. Clicking “Adapt Forecast” doesn’t change anything. When I check the day with the error, it says “Too much peak intensity XSS to recover in time.” What’s going wrong?

He is scheduling this for me for the days with the error:

Run Forecast AI again. Sometimes it arrives at a plan with too much fatigue for me as well. Usually a second run will get me a workable option.

Nevermind, I just saw you said you tried that already. Too early here in the US for me to read.

Okay, I’ve run “Run Forecast AI” again—for the third time now.

Now i have a working plan again. The whole thing is really strange.

In my experience it seems to happen when I have an aggressive plan, with targets coming in the near term. I assume the model just has difficulty meeting the desired outcomes and it likely limited on the number of iterations it will do before returning the “best” result. I’ve also noticed that if I fill a days prescribed targets with a workout a few XSS shy of the target it will resolve the warnings on further out days. It really seems to be stuff that is just on the margin of the triggers for the warnings.

Here we go again. I adjusted my training plan after achieving a breakthrough with an 11-watt increase in Threshold Power (TP). I’ve run the process multiple times, but I can’t get rid of the warnings—not even by using the trick of assigning workouts with lower XSS.

I just don’t understand why XERT doesn’t simply schedule less Peak XSS on those days if the levels are too high. It doesn’t seem very smart to me.
