Forecast AI after a week. Some feedback and questions

On a XATA program the Suitability terms apply as noted.
On an XFAI program the dot icons appear to indicate how closely a workout adheres to today’s goal.
For example, if the day’s goal is 125 XSS with a Mixed GC Specialist Focus then workouts close to that target ratio and total will display a green checkmark dot. Orange is sufficient in XSS total but out of focus. Red cross is short of the XSS goal or out of focus or both. [@ManofSteele – article update needed?]

On most days you’ll likely see a variety of suitable indoor and outdoor activities to choose from.
On some days the recommended lists may not find a close match in the Workout Library. If so, you can use the XMB Workout Generator or Autogen to create a suitable match for the day. Or follow XMB guidelines (outdoors or indoors) to fill the buckets.
In either case there is never one workout you must do. You have a choice.
On XFAI if those choices stray too far from the target that can trigger an Adapt Forecast warning. Or the warning appears if you select suitable entries day-to-day but fall chronically short/over the week-to-week forecast for low/high/peak strain. Time to consider rebalancing your plan.
On XATA this is evident by the pacer needle position and day-to-day surplus/deficit.

Another way to look at it is at the top level your day is either HIT, LIT, or Rest/Recovery.
The next level is how much total strain (XSS) to target with estimated activity duration.
The next level is defined by Focus (how that strain is distributed between Low/High/Peak).
The next level is Specificity (Polar, Mixed, Pure). How you achieved the Focus target.
HIT days have a Focus and Specificity. Ex, Mixed Rouleur or Pure Climber.
LIT days are Pure Endurance (you decide if all easy Z2 or tempo/SS in the mix).
At the top level you might complete a HIT or LIT workout, but it was Out of Focus or well short/over the XSS goal for the day. No green checkmark but kudos for riding your bike today.
