Wondering if anyone can help me figure out my fitness signature issues. Currently I’m at a deficit of 837 which doesn’t make any sense, I ride almost daily and usually more xss than is prescribed. In trying to solve it I noticed a couple activities back a couple months ago that I thought I deleted where my power meter was reading crazy high. After I deleted these and added back a more likely xss score my ftp and ltp dropped to below what it had been prior to those activities. I was at 286 before deleting them but now it says 259. I believe the 286 more than the 259. Any ideas what’s going on here?
What are your Program dialog box settings? In particular current Improvement Rate.
It is normal for TP to rise and fall with changes in Training Load and your sig is recalculated after every activity or lack of activity (decay).
The weird thing is although I had those really high numbers my ftp remained steady until a few weeks ago when I had a breakthrough and my ftp jumped 20 pts. Which put me at 284 but now I’m down to 254 after deleting those rides. Seems weird that since the end of June (ftp was 264then) with steady training and a couple races my ftp would drop 10pts.
Hard to say what those deletions did to your signature calc. You can file a support request with support@xertonline.com and they’ll take a deeper look.
You could also disprove the lower TP by starting off your next blue/fresh day with this quick fitness test ridden in Slope mode (or outdoors). If you can’t bust through MPA during the sprints or interval designed to reach a failure point, consider the lower TP as valid.
In the future when you have odd power spikes that aren’t filtered out when XO analyzes the activity, use the Flag option to retain the strain score with XSS ratio while excluding the sig calc.
With an XFAI forecast ramp rate is variable over the term rather than something you control directly.
You’re less than three weeks out from your Event target date when the last week will also include a taper.
Where do you see an 800 pt deficit indicated?
2 days ago it said I was over 1000 deficit, yesterday it said 800, and this morning it said 137. I don’t understand how it could be that high.
Send a screenshot showing the deficit value you’re seeing.
I just noticed the XSS value for your event is set to 57. Is that correct?
If you’ve been riding 5-8 hours/week you’re already prepared for a short event.
This is also why TL is declining as you approach the target date.
Looks like you’re using a beta XFAI program?
Are you mentioning the Deficit from the iOS app? We need to update the apps to support the XFAI programs. At the moment, the recommended trainings are all up to date, but the actual surplus/deficit isn’t relevant since XFAI no longer works on training surplus/deficits.
The xss for an a similar event I just did says 762! seems crazy high for 3 hour mtb race. I did another similar but not quite so hard race late June that was 273. Everything seems weird on my account.
