Did anybody notice the difference in elevation gain reported on Xert compared to Garmin/Strava?
For me, Xert shows less elevation for every single ride! I’d say about 10% less.
Where does this come from? Xert is pulling the activities from Garmin for me. The numbers at Garmin and Strava are always identical.
Garmin & Strava both offer some form of post-ride elevation correction, which overrides the data in the actual file based on GPS data & known elevation.
AFAIK, that elevation information can’t be synced to 3rd party platforms like Xert; we simply use the data from the actual .fit file.
If I look at the actual fit file with fitfileviewer(dot)com I see that Garmin and Strava display exactly what’s in the fit file as “total ascent” in the “session” and “activity metrics” section.
