I use Xert EBC on my android phone for all my indoor workouts.
I like the minimalist setup. I do 99.9% of my workouts in auto mode and just a very few in ERG. Even my breakthroughs.
I like the set and forget. While I peddle the mind wounders off and I keep pushing the pedals in auto-mode.
One thing that I keep wishing time to time is that I could set up some pre-defined actions on EBC. This would take the form of buttons. I could have a button called “Bailout” that once pressed would override the current workout and would give me a defined rest and return to the workout.
Other use could be “Sprint” were it changes the settings to allow for a sprint, our extend warmup, or to do a 20min at 90%LTP…
The buttons could live in the last page when the workout is running.
Today I was doing a workout and it was feeling easy - I decided to go for a breakthrough. I wish I had a button to push and set the trainer at my 3 min power for 5 minutes (my preferred way to generate a BT).
Instead had to change to ERG and push the “+” a milion times until the my power target.
I don’t like resistence or slope mode. I bought a smart trainer to that for me. You can call me lazy… and I’ll accept that!
