The web server performs additional data validation that isn’t possible on mobile devices — including checks for things like “sticky power”, which can affect the accuracy of breakthrough detection.
If you just barely reach a breakthrough and stop pedaling right away, you likely won’t see a significant change to your fitness signature. In that case, Xert essentially predicted your point of failure!
My advice: if you’re riding and notice you’re getting close to your MPA, don’t stop as soon as the BT notification appears. Instead, keep pushing as long as you can — the longer you hold the effort, the more substantial your breakthrough is likely to be!
