I really wish the daily availability setup could be moved to the plan creation dialog. It makes no sense to create a plan knowing that you have to go back and then adapt for specific days off and daily availability. I imagine the removal of a specific weekly day would impact the forecast from the get-go.

Thge planner is the better place. Remember, you can set defaults for weekdays but also individual days. The latter wouldn’t work well in the setup dialog.
The better solution would be just to always show the availability buttons to allow editing before a plan was created.
