Hi. I´ve been using XERT smart workouts for quite a long time, mainly because my training bike is an old 26”rig single gear, making it impossible to do mixed mode workouts. There are some mixed mode workouts that look quite interesting and it would be great to get some new workouts. I know that basic workouts library is available but it is not the type of workout that I am looking for…. Is it possible to do an easy conversion of Edenbridge, Bow Down, Push It? Xert team could help and create these copies, would be very nice.
Try this experiment –
- Go to Workouts Library.
Search for “edenb”. - Select Download as ERG icon.
This will export the workout as %FTP intervals based on your current signature. - Select Import Workout.
Configure Settings to:

There are many more options, but this choice will demonstrate how you can quickly convert a %FTP based workout – from any source (ERG, MRC or ZWO) – into a Xert workout with SMART intervals. - Select + Add Files and located your downloaded ERG file.
- Return to your workout listing and refresh the browser page. You’ll see two Edenbridge entries with your newly created entry titled VIRTUAL Edenbridge - Xert.
Compare their thumbnail power charts to see how closely they match (MPA drawdown and interval profiles) or view details for each.
This won’t replicate the playback behavior of a MIXEDMODE workout where you control target watts by gears/cadence, but it should be close enough for your purposes.
If necessary, you can further refine the results by using Workout Designer, or experiment with some of the other import options to determine which format you prefer.
Imported workouts end up in your Personal folder which is included in searches and recommended lists.
You can like
your version of Edenbridge to raise its position on recommended lists or dislike
the original Edenbridge to push it down.
As a final tip, the Import Workout routine can handle up to 20 files at a time.
You could search the workout library for “mixedmode”, scan the list while tapping Download to ERG on your selections, then import/convert them as a batch.
If you want to like them all quickly, return to the library and search for “- xert” in quotes with a space between - and xert.
Did it here, worked great! Thanks!
