Hey guys, I used Xert Connect IQ before on the 530 and it worked. Not flawless, but at least it did not crash. That is not true for Xert with the 1040 which I newly bought after the 530 broke.
Three times, each time in the mid of a workout, suddenly the app disappaeraed and the screen only showed “IQ!”, whereas the exclamation mark was yellow and styled like an emoticon. After restarting Xert and also after restarting the 1040, shortly after starting the Xert app, it will show “IQ!”. This could only be fixed by uninstalling and reinstalling Xert, which is quite annoying.
Yesterday, another bug occured and it will not go away. Very early in the training (10 minutes at most), the app will suddenly state “Trainer speed low” and the resistance in power control mode will just decrease to about ~0-50w. There is no way bringing it back (reconnect or reselect the trainer). The Trainer (Wahoo KickR Core) is not registered as a sensor in the 1040, as the tooltip says when clicking “select”. To bring the resistance back, I have to switch to either “Slope” or “Off” or “Resistance”. Switching back to Power Control then will not bring the resistance back. I have to quit and restart and then the same problem will occur after a couple of minutes.
