Hey Matt. That’s really up to you really but I prefer to see an athlete work on areas that are in the way of them reaching their goals. Most of the time, it’s about strengthening weaknesses so choosing something “on the other side” of your target is a good idea. For example, if you’re a strong Sprint Time-Trialliist but wish to be better Rouleur, choose Puncheur. If you’re aiming for a specific event that requires Rouleur, then choose that.
I am aiming on a stage race so I have it set as GC. I would probably consider myself a climber
