Annoying alert

Hello all. After a recent update my garmin makes aloud, alarm-like sound when either MB or dashboard receives my fitness signature / day’s goals. Turning it off is not an option in settings. Any ideas?

I have an edge 1050 that also now (last 5 days or so) shortly after boot goes WHOOP WHOOP WHOOP. It’s repeatable, every single bootup. And sometimes during a sprint on the ride. I assumed it was a problem with Edge, even though I don’t have incident detection enabled, nor do I have the bike alarm enabled. I am running Magic Buckets and also the MPA/Power data field. Do you think the data fields are involved?

I created an activity profile on my 1050 that contains no xert data fields. Upon boot, no alarm. As soon as I switched to the profile with xert plugins and got to the magic buckets field, the alarm hit just as the day’s targets came alive. viking I think you’re right.

It is problem of MB, vesrsion 3.8. It is really annoying alert.

Are you talking about the one-time alert indicating a successful fetch or something else?
The sound function isn’t the same on all Edge devices so the majority of users running older models (without a speaker) don’t hear what someone on a 1050 hears.
Garmin left out traditional tones on the 1050.

This is the alarm that happens every time. Also happens I believe if magic buckets thinks a breakthrough is imminent

Dave posted in the Facebook Group that it will be fixed with a new update. Back to a beep vs a Whoop Whoop.

It’s fixed. TINK! lots better thanks guys

We’ve also removed the alert when users are near a breakthrough in Magic Buckets v4.2

Cheers!
