Hi and please bear with me I come from trainerroad and I’m a bit confused what’s going on with my goal based program.
Yesterday my plan prescribed and I completed keep body movin workout, I’d ended up by accident doing a 100m ride on sarurday which was brisk and under-fuelled, so was still feeling it yesterday. The workout was a battle. Upon completing it I took a look to see what was in store for me tomorrow and it was hardness test 10. Which looking at it I thought oh no! This morning I went on to Xert to see what exactly was in store for me tonight, still showed the same workout. Then this evening I’ve come to look on Xert again but now it’s change to keep body movin again. It this normal behaviour? The workout switches during the day and it also picks up one that floored me the previous day.
What are your Goal settings?
How much history was imported?
When was last BT detected? (shown under your name on Training page)
What is your current status stars count?
Do you have Automatically Schedule enabled under Planner Settings or are you selecting an entry from recommended lists?
Calculated form changes by the hour and is shown under the Training page 3-day window as well as the gradient bar on the Planner page.
If recovery form does not reflect how you feel, adjust the Recovery Demands slider (to the rignt in your case), Save, then refresh the Planner page to note change.
Goal settings were Polar Breakaway Specialist, with
5 Minute Power with 25% Specificity,
I think I imported my whole Strava history but definitely last September as a minimum as that was when it showed my previous last breakthrough. It then picked up my last breakthrough as early this month in my max power, but think it was a power meter problem as it was at the end of 70 hard miles. I thought it would pick another this weekend as I did my best 1min all time but didn’t show it as a BT.
I’m currently 1/3rd in to the elite star.
It’s set to automatically schedule.
Recovery is set to the middle, I’ll move it. Was just a bit surprised when it was one minute the hardness test then switched to the same workout as the day before and had been very tough.
Automatically Schedule is selecting among top candidates after midnight each day.
However, there is always more than one suitable workout you can choose from and you can do that from the Training page prior to working out (including at the last minute).

Another option is to run Autogen to create a simple workout that’s meets the day’s XSS goal.
Or use Magic Buckets if you have a Garmin which works even if no workout is selected or scheduled on the Planner.
If you suspect a power spike influenced your last BT on file, you should flag that entry. Flagging retains the strain score analysis while excluding signature calc.
For a more accurate assessment of your current signature consider riding a “fitness test” workout in Slope mode on your next HIT day preferably after a rest or easy day.

Form is changing on the hour and depending on when that change occurs the recommended list will update accordingly.
To see this in action go to the Planner for today or tomorrow and select Choose Training.
Notice the default Start time is when you usually train on that day of the week.
Watch what happens to the recommended list when you change the Start time from early morning to late afternoon or vice versa.
