Just started with the Xert system (2 workouts so far) and have a quick question: The cadence targets are quite low compared to what I’m used to. Is there some documentation on the theory behind the cadence targets? I’m typically at 95 or so but Xert has me targeting anywhere from 55-85, depending on the efforts. Happy to conform, but would just like to know why this seems different than prevailing theory. Thanks in advance!
Hi Kevin. Welcome. The app will learn your cadence preferences over time. Continue to gear/pedal at the cadence that you prefer and Xert will nudge things closer and closer to those cadences that work better for you.
